Kolloquium der Lateinamerikastudien im Sommersemester 2019

Coloquio de Estudios Latinoamericanos en Leipzig (CEL-LE)

Termin: Mittwoch, 17-19 Uhr.
Ort: CAS - Nikolaistr. 6-10. Strohsackpassage 5. Etage
Beginn: 10.04.2019

What is Latin America? And what are the social, historical, economic and political contexts that have constructed over time localities, countries, sub-regions and the region itself? These are some of the questions that the Colloquium for Latin American Studies at Leipzig University, or CEL-LE (its Spanish acronym) aims to answer. The CEL-LE wants to provide a regular space to discuss undergoing research on, or related to, Latin America: chapters of master or doctoral thesis, research papers, conference presentations, etc. It is a space welcoming students and researchers of different disciplines like history, sociology, anthropology, political science, cultural studies and/or global studies to present their works or propose topics of discussion relevant to the region. During our first meeting, we will set the agenda for the semester. Presentations could be held on English, Spanish and German.
