Bachelor's Programme

With our bachelor’s progamme students acquire in-depth knowledge of anthropological debates as well as regional knowledge which can be applied in national and international fields of work. For those interested in further advancing their skills, we additionally offer a master's programme.

Our bachelor's programme

The programme Bachelor of Arts is open to all students who are interested in sociocultural phenomena as well as cross-regional comparison. It combines training in systematic anthropology with an introduction to anthropological theories as well as intensive language training.

Master's Programme

Our Master of Arts in Anthropology is directed at interested participants who have earned their bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or related disciplines. The master programme offers intensive training in anthropological subtopics, a strong research focus, and regional specialization.

Application

The application deadline for our master’s programme ends on 31 May every year. You will need a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or a related discipline, fluent English skills, and enthusiasm for working alongside a small international group. Our application page provides explanation for the exact process and provides further details.

Doctorate

Graduates interested in earning their PhD in the field of Anthropology can partake in our structured program. It includes intensive support for individual projects as well as collective preparation for academic exchange and application for research positions and grants.

Current PhD projects

Our PhD students are actively working on a wide spectrum of themes and various directions. In the colloquium they come together and comment on each other's projects and progress.
